Effective 2 October 2026
Forge helps you with your job hunt and your career: finding roles that fit, understanding the market, preparing the right materials, keeping track of your applications and getting ready for the next step. Forge is operated by Memriq Holdings, Inc. ("Memriq", "we"), which is the controller of the personal information described here.
What Forge keeps
- Your account — your name and email address, and a password or your Google sign-in. One Memriq account signs you in to every Memriq service; being let in to Forge is decided separately, by invitation.
- Your professional profile — what you give Forge: your résumé text, your work history and the employers in it, your skills, the roles and pay you are looking for, and your contact details.
- Your job hunt — the roles you save, the materials Forge drafts for you, and where each application stands, from found to decided.
- Your settings — how much Forge may do on its own, and the reminders you asked for.
- Support conversations — what you write to Forge's support chat.
How it is protected
Your résumé text, work history, employer names, pay expectations and contact details are encrypted. Inside Forge you are known by a random identifier, not by your name, so someone who obtained Forge's stored data without the keys could not tell whose career it describes.
What Forge never does
Forge never applies for a job on your behalf and never contacts an employer for you — no application, message, email or call. It prepares the material; you decide what to send, and you send it. Forge does not promise an interview or an offer, and it does not give legal or tax advice about an offer. How much Forge may do on its own is your setting; it starts at suggesting only, and Forge tells you what a setting allows before you choose it.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and have not in the past twelve months.
Where your information goes outside Forge
- Helm — a reminder or to-do you ask for, such as a closing date or an interview, is written into your Helm account, which encrypts it under your account.
- Billing — Memriq's billing service sees only your account id and which Forge feature was used.
- AI models — the text a model reads to find roles that fit or to draft your materials comes from your profile; nothing a model suggests is kept unless you keep it.
Services that process it for us
- Railway — runs Forge's servers.
- MongoDB Atlas — stores Forge's records, encrypted as described above, in the United States.
- OpenAI — the language model Forge uses to match roles to your profile and to draft materials.
- Resend — delivers the emails Memriq sends you, through Memriq's one sender.
- Google — signs you in, if you choose Google.
How long it is kept
Forge keeps what you saved until you delete it. Your account and everything in your Forge are deleted within 30 days of your account closing. Support messages are kept for 2 years, server logs for 90 days, and billing records, if you ever have any, for 7 years. Backups can hold deleted data for up to 35 days before it is gone from them too.
Deleting it, or getting a copy
You can delete a saved role, a draft or your whole profile. Closing your Memriq account has no self-serve button: write to privacy@memriq.ai, or ask Forge's support chat to pass you to a person — we acknowledge within 5 business days and finish within 30 days. The same address gives you a copy of what we hold, or corrects it.
If you are in the EU or UK
We rely on the contract with you to run Forge, on our legitimate interests to keep it working and secure, and on your consent for anything else. Your information is processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
